Contemplative exploration of memory, erosion and endurance.

Description

Contemplative exploration of memory, erosion and endurance. Created with a blend of canvas on canvas, acrylic gesso paste and gold leaf, the piece features a large,
rounded form textured with fractured, stone-like segments. The surface, reminiscent of ancient masonry or worn relics, is infused with soft glints of gold, hinting at the hidden value within decay. The earthy tones and deliberate irregularities in the texture evoke a sense of quiet passage – layers of history etched into a circular boundary. It speaks to the persistence of structure amid fragmentation and how beauty often lies in imperfection and timeworn form. With its minimalist palette and sculptural surface, Circle of Fragments offers both visual depth and emotional resonance. It invites viewers to reflect on cycles – of breaking and mending, remembering and forgetting and how fragments can still form a whole.
